Cut-a-thon Fundraiser Benefits Families in Transition

Manchester, N.H. – Arcadya Salon & Spa is hosting its second annual cut-a-thon fundraiser from 11 a.m.-

4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9. All proceeds will benefit Families in Transition.

At the cut-a-thon, guests donate just $10 for each of the five services offered: haircuts, express manicures, express pedicures, chair massages and brow waxing. Guests may have the opportunity to be treated to more than one service.

“I’m thrilled to continue our good work with this fundraiser,” said Arcadya owner Joni Stamoulis. “Families in Transition helps people right here in our community, and the staff at Arcadya couldn’t be happier to donate their time for them.”

As part of the fundraising event, there will also be raffles, a silent auction, face painting for children, and food and beverages for guests. More than $3,000 was raised at last year’s event.

Families in Transition will use the money raised to provide nutritious meals for the families at its Lowell Street Housing Program in Manchester. The nonprofit assists homeless individuals and families – as well as those at risk of becoming homeless – in Manchester and throughout the state.

Parking is available at Manchester Memorial High School at 1 Crusader Way. A free shuttle bus will be provided to and from Arcadya throughout the event.

Arcadya Salon & Spa is at 989 Cilley Road, Manchester. For more information, call 644-1355 or visit http://www.ArcadyaSalon.com.
