MANCHESTER, NH – The partners of River Road Pediatrics in Bedford, NH recently donated $400 to Families in Transition (FIT), a Manchester-and Concord- based homeless services provider, towards their “A Birthday to Remember” program. FIT hosts bi-monthly birthday parties, underwritten by individuals or businesses, for their youth participants, many of whom would need to forgo a birthday celebration without the help of the Birthday Program. This is the second birthday party the partners of River Road Pediatrics have sponsored. Pictured in the photo are: (l. to. r.) Lauren Suprenant, Families in Transition; and Dr. Sharon L. Van Tuil, Dr. Martin E. Schwartzberg and Dr. Helen G. Poremba, River Road Pediatrics. Missing from photo Dr. Stanley S. Paras.

Families in Transition is a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and comprehensive social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. FIT also owns and operates two thrift stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, as well as a newly established commercial cleaning company, all of which serve as economic engines to help pay for services that FIT provides. For more information about FIT, the birthday program, the stores, and the commercial cleaning company visit www.fitnh.org or call 603-641-9441.
