WOLFEBORO, NH- Families in Transition-New Horizons (FIT-NH) will hold an open house event, on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, for their Hope House, a short-term, transitional housing property for homeless families, located in Wolfeboro, NH. The Hope House is the first housing option of its kind in Carroll County, offering housing and services to families in the Governor Wentworth Regional School District experiencing homelessness. The Hope House will offer shelter and services to seven families at a time, totaling an anticipated 43 parents and 84 children per year. Families in Transition- New Horizons will provide 24/7 on-site staff to address specific needs for each family, such as; transportation, case management, meals and employment.
“We are so excited for this opening,” said Maureen Beauregard, President of Families in Transition-New Horizons. “The community reached out to us several years ago after recognizing there were over a hundred children in the school district who were homeless. Thanks to the generosity of the community, we’re now a part of the Greater Wolfeboro community and will be able to do what we do best, provide quality, safe, housing and services to those most in need.”
The public is invited to attend the Hope House open house on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 2:00p.m., Foss Field, 88 Lehner Street, Wolfeboro, and are asked to RSVP to [email protected] prior to Friday, June 22. The program portion of the event will begin under a tent at Foss Field and then tours will be offered of Hope House at 16/18 Lehner Street after the program.
