Beauregard honored by community

Maureen Beauregard, founder/president of Families In Transition, was recently honored as a recipient of the Bellwether Community Champion award, presented to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their community. In July, Beauregard threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a New Hampshire Fisher Cats game and was celebrated during an on-field pregame presentation.

For almost 20 years, Beauregard has dedicated her life to ensure that homeless parents have the support they need to overcome their pasts and create healthy, happy and rewarding lives for themselves and their children. Thanks to her vision and dedication, Families in Transition – New Horizons has severed 3,300 homeless individuals including 1,800 children.

Beauregard is a resident of Stratham.
