Learn how evidence-based and strength-centered case management practices can improve outcomes for your clients.

Effective case management practices involve a collaborative process of assessing, planning, facilitating, and advocating for options and services that will most effectively meet a client’s individual needs. This training will teach participants how to help their clients achieve desirable outcomes by promoting strengths-based interventions which link individuals to appropriate resources. By integrating the Stages of Change, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based interventions, you will learn to enhance your case management skills and better support your clients.


Who Should Attend:

About the Trainer: Mark Lowis, LMSW, MINT

In 28 years of practice, Mr. Lowis has worked in various mental health and substance abuse treatment programs in both the public and private sector. His experience includes case management, direct clinical therapy, supervision, staff development, and management of adult and juvenile justice programs including a very specialized program for Parolee-Sex Offender Alcoholics and Addicts. He is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Michigan and a member of the International Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, and carries advanced credentials in other evidence based practices. He is a professional consultant to the Wayne State University School of Medicine – Michigan Fidelity Assessment Support Team (MIFAST), and the Michigan Integrated Treatment Committee (ITC).
