FAMILIES IN TRANSITION HOSTS THE “WICKED FIT RUN”, A FAMILY FRIENDLY 5K

Nearly 300 People to Participate in the Halloween-Themed- Race Dedicated to “Chase Away Homelessness” in the Granite State

Who:      Nearly 300 runners and walkers from central New Hampshire and Families in Transition (FIT) President Maureen Beauregard, Board of Director members and volunteers.

What:    Families in Transition will host the inaugural Wicked FIT Run, a Halloween-themed, family friendly 5K dedicated to “chasing away homelessness” in New Hampshire. Proceeds of this event will go towards Families in Transition’s programs and services for homeless families and individuals in Concord and Manchester. The event will also have a shorter Kids run/obstacle course and other fall activities. Costumes are encouraged and over 20 prizes will be awarded for best race times, best costumes and other categories. More information here: https://www.fitnh.org/wickedfitrun

7:30 AM – Registration Opens
8:45 AM – Race Kick-Off
                         9:00 AM – Race Start
                         10:00 AM – Awards Ceremony
10:15 AM – Kids’ Race/Obstacle Course

Where:   Rollins Park (33 Bow Street), Concord, NH

Background:     Families in Transition is a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and comprehensive social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. Additionally, FIT also owns and operates two thrift stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, and a new commercial cleaning company, which serve as economic engines to help pay for services they provide. DIRECTIONS:      On I-93, take Exit 12N onto New Hampshire 3A N/S. Main St. Turn left onto Broadway. Rollins Park will be on the left.
