Friends and Supporters Invited to Celebrate the Achievements and Leadership of the Agency

MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transition – New Horizons (FIT), a Manchester and Concord-based homeless services provider, will celebrate its first 20 years of providing a home and building hope for homeless individuals and families on Wednesday, November 2 at OutFITters Thrift Store in Manchester from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Supporters are invited to attend to commemorate the impact the agency has had on helping to eradicate homelessness. The celebration will also honor Maureen Beauregard, FIT Founder and President, and her work within the community.

The evening will entail a short program highlighting the growth and success of the agency. Speakers include Governor John Lynch, Mayor Ted Gatsas, FIT Board Members, FIT Alumni Participant, and Staff.  Additionally, guests are encouraged to participate in guided tours of the Families in Transition – New Horizons “Family Mill” property, including an FIT participant apartment, child care center, and OutFITters Thrift Store.

According to FIT Board Chairperson, Sedra Michaelson, “Without Maureen’s vision and dedication, Families in Transition – New Horizons would not exist today. The Board has very exciting news to announce at the event. Please come to help us celebrate not only Families in Transition – New Horizons, but to celebrate the brilliant leadership of Maureen Beauregard.”

Families in Transition – New Horizons is a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and comprehensive social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect.  FIT also owns and operates two thrift stores in Manchester and Concord, NH as well as a commercial office cleaning company, which serve as an economic engine to help pay for services FIT provides.
