MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transition (FIT), a Manchester and Concord-based homeless services provider, will celebrate its first 20 years of providing a home and building hope for homeless individuals and families on Wednesday, November 2 at OutFITters Thrift Store in Manchester from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Supporters are invited to attend to commemorate the impact the agency has had on helping to eradicate homelessness. The celebration will also honor Maureen Beauregard, FIT Founder and President, and her work within the community.
The evening will entail a short program highlighting the growth and success of the agency. Speakers include Governor John Lynch, Mayor Ted Gatsas, FIT Board Members, FIT Alumni Participant, and Staff. Additionally, guests are encouraged to participate in guided tours of the Families in Transition “Family Mill” property, including an FIT participant apartment, child care center, and OutFITters Thrift Store.
According to FIT Board Chairperson, Sedra Michaelson, “Without Maureen’s vision and dedication, Families in Transition would not exist today. The Board has very exciting news to announce at the event. Please come to help us celebrate not only Families in Transition, but to celebrate the brilliant leadership of Maureen Beauregard.”
