Stephanie Savard Recognized for her Leadership in Alcohol and Drug Treatment Services

CONCORD, NH – Stephanie Savard, Vice President of Families in Transition – New Horizons (FIT), a Manchester and Concord-based homeless services provider, will be awarded the Tom Fox Scholarship for Treatment from New Futures. This $1,500 scholarship will go towards professional development in the substance use field. Savard will receive this scholarship because of the work she has done for substance use disorder treatment. Savard will be presented with the scholarship on October 11 in Concord.

As Vice President of FIT, Savard oversees the Family Willows Intensive Outpatient Program, a 16 week program for women with co-occurring substance use and trauma. The program helps women recognize, examine and understand how substance use and trauma affects their lives and helps them develop skills to cope in healthy ways.

“We are delighted to have Stephanie recognized by New Futures for her work in the substance use area,” said FIT’s Founder and President, Maureen Beauregard. “Stephanie is a great asset to our organization and the people that we serve.”

New Futures is a New Hampshire nonprofit that works to reduce alcohol and other drug problems through advocacy, education and collaboration. The Tom Fox Scholarship for Treatment is awarded yearly and is named after Dr. Tom Fox, an expert in the mental health and substance abuse fields.
