FAMILIES IN TRANSITION-NEW HORIZONS KICKS OFF NEW YEAR AS ONE ORGANIZATION

OFFICIALLY MERGED, NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTED  – As of January 1, 2018, Families in Transition and New Horizons for New Hampshire officially merged into one entity. The newly elected, 25 member, Board of Directors recently gathered for their first meeting. MANCHESTER, NH — Two of Manchester’s largest homeless services providers officially merged into one entity on January 1, 2018. Families in Transition-New Horizons has a twenty-five member Board of Directors, with staggered terms, which recently met for the first time at their bimonthly meeting.

Families in Transition-New Horizons provides hunger relief, emergency shelter, safe affordable housing, and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or in need, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. They are headquartered in Manchester, NH, and have housing and programming there as well as Concord, Dover, and soon-to-be Wolfeboro, NH. They also own and operate OutFITters Thrift Stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, which serve as economic engines to help pay for their housing and services.
