Top financial executives honored at NHBR breakfast

MANCHESTer — What does Families in Transition – New Horizons, a small nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing to homeless families have in common with Centrix Bank, one of New Hampshire’s leading financial institutions? Devoted chief financial officers that play the critical role of balancing the books, making difficult strategic decisions, and ensuring that New Hampshire workers stay employed and business keeps moving.

Financial executives from Families in Transition – New Horizons, Centrix Bank, LRGHealthcare, Resonetics, and Contour Design will be honored for their outstanding fiscal leadership, asset management and community commitment at New Hampshire Business Review’s Financial Executive of the Year Awards Breakfast on May 15th at the Radisson Hotel ballroom in Manchester. The 2012 Financial Executives of the Year are:

· Large for-profit – Lucy Gobin, Dunbarton – Centrix Bank, Bedford

· Medium for-profit – Ernest Simmons, Jr., Andover, MA – Contour Design Inc, Windham

· Small for-profit – Michael Hawkins, Andover, MA – Resonetics, LLC- Nashua

· Small nonprofit – Lisa Allard, Derry – Families in Transition – New Horizons, Manchester

· Large nonprofit – Henry Lipman, Laconia – LRGHealthcare – Laconia

“Financial executives are not usually in the spotlight, yet their work is critical to ensuring the financial health of organizations they serve. We received over two dozen first-rate nominations from businesses and nonprofits throughout the state and are proud to recognize these financial all-stars,” said Jeff Feingold, editor of New Hampshire Business Review.

Nominations were judged by an independent panel of respected New Hampshire financial and business professionals. Consideration was given to the individual’s contributions to his or her company or organization’s overall growth, commitment to ethics, effective reporting and involvement in the community.

The winners will be celebrated at the Financial Executive of the Year Awards breakfast on Tuesday, May 15, from 7 – 9AM at the Radisson Hotel ballroom in Manchester. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at
