FAMILIES IN TRANSITION WILL HOST A FIESTA TO BENEFIT HOMELESS FAMILIES

All money raised will help provide a safe home and basic necessities for homeless families and individuals in Manchester, Concord and Dover 

MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transition (FIT), a Manchester-, Concord-, and Dover-based homeless services provider, will host a night of food, fun and entertainment at FIT’s signature fundraising event. All proceeds from the Cinco de Mayo Celebration will go to providing a safe home and basic necessities for FIT’s participants. Michael DeBlasi, President of Ten20 Strategic Communications, and Scott Spradling, President of The Spradling Group, are the co-chairs of this year’s event.

This year’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration will feature a live and silent auction, Mexican food provided by Cactus Jack’s and entertainment. Tickets are $40 per person and $75 for an individual VIP Experience ticket, which includes a chance to view auction items prior to the event start, drink tickets and a ticket for the game of chance. “I am proud to volunteer time for a group that works so hard to help others, and makes a difference in the lives of families,” said Scott Spradling, co-chair of the 2013 Cinco de Mayo Celebration. “The money raised will go to help provide transportation, beds, and other necessities for FIT’s families.”

Families in Transition is a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and comprehensive social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. FIT also owns and operates two thrift stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, as well as a commercial cleaning company, FIT Cleaning Solutions, all of which serve as economic engines to help pay for services that FIT provides.
