About the VISTA Program
The Families in Transition VISTA Program is one of the largest AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) networks in New Hampshire, with 27 committed volunteers living and serving throughout the state. VISTAs serve for one year at nonprofit and government organizations to build programs that fight poverty and improve the quality of life for the most disadvantaged members of our community.
Partnering with 22 organizations across the state, Families in Transition (FIT) organizes and operates the VISTA program. FIT recruits new VISTAs and offers professional supervision by hosting monthly VISTA meetings, tracking VISTA progress and offering general VISTA support throughout the year.
