More than 900 people walked in Manchester on Sunday to help the city’s hungry and homeless.
The 29th annual 5K Walk Against Hunger was held in Veterans Park.
The walk benefits Families in Transition – New Horizons and New Horizons, which provide more than 700 meals a day to families in need.
“We really look at nutrition as a prescription of health for the soul,” said Maureen Beauregard, president of FIT. “And by being able to say you now have breakfast, lunch and dinner, it makes a world of difference.”
The route brought walkers by each of the organization’s nine properties so they could see its mission in action.
