Learn how to become the most effective advocate for your homeless or at-risk of homelessness constituents.
In times of resource scarcity, advocating on behalf of our constituents is more important than ever. Effectively communicating to policymakers on state and federal levels ensures that resources are protected, and in some cases enhanced, for those who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. Housing Action NH and the New Hampshire Coalition to End Homelessness are hosting a free ½ day training that will help homeless and housing providers throughout the state to become the most effective advocates for their constituents.
Learn (not all inclusive):
- Where homeless service resources and policies come from;
- How the state and federal budget and appropriations processes works, and how we can influence those processes;
- The “Dos” and “Don’ts” of advocacy; and,
- How to share our stories, ideas, concerns with our elected officials.
Registration is free, but required to attend.
Lunch and refreshments from 12:30PM – 1:00PM.
Additional details are available at the registration page: getinvolved.fitnh.org/advocacy-training.
